Most wall hangers hold the rifle by the magwell, which means when you pull your rifle off the wall, there's no magazine in it, and you still have to grab one and insert it before you're ready to go. The WARD holds the rifle by the buffer tube instead, so the magazine stays in the rifle the whole time it's on the wall. When you take it down, it's already ready to go.
The rifle slots into the WARD by the buffer tube and locks into place. To remove it, simply lift the rifle up slightly out of the slot and it comes right off the wall. No latches or buttons.
The WARD is built to be anchored into your wall, and for the strongest, most secure hold, we recommend mounting it directly into a wall stud with the included GRK structural screws, especially for heavier rifles with optics, lights, or suppressors. It can be mounted wherever makes the most sense for you, whether that's a bedroom, closet, office, or safe room, keeping your rifle within quick reach when you need it.
